The BUR-EB project aims to estimate the socio-economic burden of a rare disease, epidermolysis bullosa (EB), in 7 EU countries (Spain,
France, Germany, Italy, Hungary, Austria and Bulgaria), and to compare it to data collected 10 years ago. Health Economics Research Center (HECON, University Research and Innovation Center, Obuda University; Principal Investigator: Prof. Dr. Márta Péntek) is the leader of the data analysis within the consortium and reponsible for the study in Hungary. In this conference, we present results of the BUR-EB and discuss how innovations may support patients, their families and the society in managing the diease.
