Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme
The Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme was established by the Government of Hungary in 2013. The programme’s primary educational policy objectives are to support the internationalization prestige of Hungarian higher education, strengthen the international relations of Hungary’s academic community, increase the cultural diversity of higher education institutions, and promote the competitiveness of Hungarian higher education worldwide. Another important goal of the programme is to foster professional and cultural ties between international students and Hungary. By doing so, Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship holders can contribute to promoting Hungarian language and culture in their home countries after completing their studies.
Based on bilateral educational agreements, applicants from 101 countries are currently eligible to apply for the scholarship programme.
