In the World University Rankings 2024 of Times Higher Education (THE), published in 2023, Obuda University secured a position among the top 1200 higher education institutions worldwide, continuing to belong to the elite universities representing the top 4% in the world.

On the domestic front, Obuda University maintains a strong presence, standing as the fourth- ranked university among the eleven ranked Hungarian higher education institutions and has been placed as the top Hungarian technical University.

Obuda Universities leadership extends beyond national borders. As for the indicator of research quality, Obuda stands as the best technical university in Central and Eastern Europe.

This past year we enhanced the quality of education, and in addition significant emphasis has been placed on development as well as strengthening industrial relations. Scientific qualifications and the increasing number of internationally recognized scholars joining Obuda University’s research network have played crucial roles in the university’s advancement.

Publication

The Óbuda University is committed to increasing both the quantity and quality of publications, specifically aiming to enhance the number and proportion of high-quality publications (D1, Q1, Q2, Top 10%). In line with this objective, the number of such publications continues to rise, increasing by 13% from 2021 to 2022. Among these, the number of Q1 and D1 publications increased by 20% from 2021 to 2022.
