Course Description:
Students will be prepared for the practical application of the most important economic theory and methodology in a decision-oriented approach, learning about the most important market economic categories and operational characteristics of business enterprises, highlighting their relationship with individual and corporate decisions. The objective of the course is to familiarise students with the economic and social environment of business, its organisational forms, the principles of its operation, the normative rules and theoretical foundations of economic decisions, resource management, basic business activities (material requirements planning, inventory management, internal logistics), their relationship with corporate strategy. In addition to the mid-term work (application of methods to support and assist management decisions, solving business situations, case studies), the examination consists of a written paper covering the theoretical knowledge of the subject.
