Course Description:
The Municipal Architecture and Administration tasks related to urban development and settlement planning, documents for urban development: urban development concept, integrated urban development strategy, documents of settlement planning. Specific legal institutions. Municipal image procedures and townscape protection regulation. Spatial planning plans, their hierarchy – national, regional, county. Tasks related to heritage and nature conservation. Partnership and communication.

Competences:
able to comprehensively handle aesthetic, functional, technical, economic, social and legal expectations throughout the design process

14 WEEKS SCHEDULE:
1. week: Basics of law I. State, nation and sovereignty.
2. week: Basics of law II. Sovereign and subject. Human rights.
3. week: Basics of law III. Social norms and rules, law. Natural law.
4. week: Basics of law IV. legal entity, natural personality, legal capacity etc
5. week: Basics of law III. Categories and foundations of law
6. week: Basics of law IV. Sources of law, legislative power...
7. week: Basics of law V. Priority of law. Legal system.
8. week: Basic properties and roles of public administration I. Administrative law.
9. week: Basic properties and roles of public administration II. Definitions, Administrative cases, authority, parties.
10. week: Basic properties and roles of public administration III. material and territorial competences, general rules of process.
11. week: Basic properties and roles of public administration IV. Process I: application, types of procedures. rejection and termination,
12. week: Basic properties and roles of public administration V. Process II.: time limits, excuses, documents.
13. week: Basic properties and roles of public administration VI. Process III.: decision of the authority, legal remedy.
14. week: Final test.

Assessment: At the end of the semester, final written test. If you failed the test you can take a signature retake exam.
