Course Description:
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the basic steps and characteristics of production and service processes, and to introduce the basic
methods required to plan production and service tasks and to carry them out efficiently. During the semester, the student will be introduced to
methods
of forecasting the production task, the tasks and conditions associated with the provision of resources, and the management of inventory problems. In
addition to a review of the theoretical foundations, the course also provides students with insights into practical applications through the solution
of
practical examples and case studies.

Assessment: Requirements for the signature: Every student has to make a presentation in groups (group/3 persons). You can choose the presentation topic from the theme list on the 3rd or 4th week. Attendance at the seminar is obligatory. A maximum of 3 absenteeism is allowed. Students take a test on the 7th, and 13th educational week. The students can retake examination if the sum mark of the earlier tests are below 50%. Evaluation of the end term mark: End term mark is equal with the mark of the successful test or retake (70%) and the presentation (30%). Scoring: Mark 1: 0-50 % insufficient Mark 2: 51-60 % satisfactory Mark 3: 61-74 % medium Mark 4: 75-85 % good Mark 5: 86-100 % excellent
