The 58th Scientific Student Conference has started
The 58th Scientific Student Conference has begun on our campuses. The event is organized by the university's Scientific Student Conference as part of the Hungarian Science Festival series. The goal is to deepen and expand scientific knowledge related to the mandatory curriculum, engage in scientifically oriented self-education, acquire knowledge beyond the requirements of the training and curriculum, involve students in scientific research, and ensure the professional visibility and evaluation of individual achievements during student research activities. As tradition dictates, students present the results of their research at the conference across various sections.
At the Alba Regia Technical Faculty, the opening session of the section meetings and presentations of student papers commenced following the opening remarks by Prof. Dr. György Györök, the Dean. Dr. Richárd Horváth, the Research Vice Dean at the Bánki Donát Faculty of Mechanical and Safety Engineering, Prof. Dr. György Molnár, the Dean at the Kandó Kálmán Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Dr. Habil. Mónika Garai-Fodor, the Dean at the Keleti Károly Faculty of Business and Management, Dr. György Eigner, the Dean at the John von Neumann Faculty of Informatics, Dr. habil. László Koltai, the Dean at the Rejtő Sándor Faculty of Light Industry and Environmental Protection Engineering, and Dr. Zsuzsanna Fáczányi, the PhD Research Vice Dean at the Ybl Miklós Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering.
Dr. Zoltán Vámossy, the President of the University Student Science Council, stated on the opening day of the conference that the forum provides a special opportunity for students, as participation in the Scientific Student Conference can serve as an entry point for many into more significant scientific research. He affirmed that over time, increasingly high-quality student papers are being produced. Hopefully, many of the presented papers will successfully represent our university at the National Scientific Student Council Conference, continuing the success and effectiveness of previous traditions.
The 58th TDK Conference at Óbuda University saw the creation of approximately 130 intriguing, original projects. The works covered a range of topics, including aerial archaeological excavations, drones in research and rescue missions, and a sleep-phase-based alarm clock. Other projects explored electricity-generating highways, the impact of TikTok on Generation Z, and developments in Hungarian CHAT GPT. Following today's opening ceremonies and section meetings, the results will be announced on November 29, and the authors and mentors of the winning works will be rewarded.

Óbuda University's TDK activities and conferences are supported by the National Talent Program and the Cultural and Innovation Ministry's grant titled "Participation in the National Scientific Student Conference, as well as in its scientific workshops and the fulfillment of organizational tasks" (NTP-HHTDK-23).
