Traineeships
The aim of this scholarship type is to enable students to undertake an internship abroad with financial support provided through the Pannónia Scholarship Programme. The purpose of the traineeship completed abroad is to gain professional work experience relevant to the student’s study programme, which must be fully recognised within the student’s curriculum and accepted as fulfilling any compulsory internship requirements. At the same time, the scholarship is also available to students whose curriculum does not include a compulsory traineeship or who have already fulfilled such a requirement. The duration of the traineeship may range from a minimum of 2 months to a maximum of 12 months.
A Student Mobility for Traineeship abroad offers a unique opportunity to gain cultural, linguistic, and professional experience while building an international network of contacts. These experiences significantly enhance graduates’ competitiveness in the labour market after completing their studies.
Two types of Student Mobility for Traineeship can be distinguished, depending on whether the student completes the traineeship:
- During their studies – in this case, the traineeship must be fully recognised and incorporated into the curriculum (including as an elective course, where applicable);
- Within 12 months after graduation (After Graduate Traineeship) – in this case, no academic recognition is required.
The application procedure and eligibility criteria are the same as those for Student Mobility for Studies. Applications must be submitted at least two months before the start of the traineeship.
Please note that applications for a Graduate Traineeship must be submitted while the student still holds active student status (before obtaining the final certificate/absolutorium). The mobility period must be carried out and completed within 12 months from the graduation date recorded in the Neptun system.
Further information regarding the application process can be found in the Call for Applications.

Destination Countries and Host Organisations
Applicants may undertake the traineeship in any of the countries listed in the Call for Applications.
Traineeships may be carried out at any organisation engaged in economic activity, regardless of its size, legal status, or sector. Host organisations may include private companies, public institutions, and non-profit organisations.
Applicants are responsible for finding their own host company or organisation. This process is similar to a standard job search. To assist students, we have compiled a list of organisations where Obuda University students have previously completed their international traineeships based on earlier mobility experiences.
Previous Traineeship Placements
If you have not yet identified a host organisation, the list above may provide useful ideas regarding the types of organisations where students from different academic fields have completed their international traineeships. These organisations may be contacted directly, and many are expected to remain interested in hosting students in the future.
Students may also search through larger internship databases. Several examples are provided below.
It is also advisable to browse the careers pages of larger companies that regularly offer internship programmes, or simply search online using the keyword “internship”, which will yield numerous opportunities.
If an intermediary organisation charges a placement fee, students may cover this expense using their Pannónia scholarship funding.
