Student mobility

Within the framework of the Pannónia Scholarship Program, students with successful application will have the opportunity in the autumn semester of the academic year 2024/2025 to

  • participate in long-term mobility (from min. 2 months to 3 or 5 months):
    • to participate in part-time studies,
    • do a traineeship abroad at a university, a company, a professional organisation or a non-profit organisation, or
    • carry out research;
  • participate in short-term mobility (2-30 days):
    • for studies (e.g., summer university or short intensive programme),
    • for research purposes.

Applications for long-term mobility for the autumn semester 2024 are open until 10 March 2024.

We publish a separate call for applications for long-term and short-term mobilities due to the different application deadlines.

  • You can apply for long-term mobilities until March 10, 2024. In the framework of this call, you can apply for the fall 2024 semester part-time training and for traineeship and research activities starting from June 1, 2024.
  • Short-term mobilities: applications for summer university programs and short research activities can be submitted in the spring.

Who can apply?

In addition to the criteria indicated for each type of mobility (see: Call for applications), students can apply for the scholarship:

  • who have active student status at Óbuda University at the time of the application and during the mobility period (except internship after graduation);
  • with Hungarian nationality or registration of permanent residence permit or valid settlement or residence permit in Hungary;

The scholarship can only be awarded for the period of physical mobility. We would like to call the students’ attention that the financial support does not necessarily cover all the costs that arise during their stay abroad, it must be supplemented – sometimes with pre-financing – from other sources. We recommend the use of additional financial support (more information in the Additional grants section). The scholarship contributes to additional costs resulting from the stay abroad and can only be awarded for the duration of the stay abroad.

Additional grants

Ensuring inclusion and diversity is a priority for higher education mobility programmes. Accordingly, particular attention will be paid to ensuring that participants with fewer opportunities have a greater chance of participating in programs supporting the acquisition of international experience. The aim of the additional equal opportunities grant is to provide additional financial support to students facing health, educational, cultural, social, economic or geographical barriers, in addition to the Pannonia scholarship, to be able to undertake the mobility.

In addition to the scholarship, an equal opportunities grant may be available to achieve the above goals, and students with long-term illnesses or disabilities may be eligible for additional support. The conditions, how to apply and the amount of the additional support can be read in the Call for additional equal opportunity support.

Amount of additional support:

  • in the case of a long-term mobility: HUF 100 000/month (on a pro rata basis)
  • for a shorter period: HUF 2 500/day (on a pro rata basis)

Permanently ill and disabled applicants can apply for additional support in addition to the equal opportunity support to finance the costs incurred abroad in connection with their illness or disability.

More information can be found in the Call for additional equal opportunity support.

In addition to the above mobility opportunities, within the framework of the Excellence Scholarship, the best students of our University can apply to participate in part-time studies at one of the first 250 universities of THE (Times Higher Education)) or QS rankings for a period of 1-6 months.
