Kandó Faculty Enriched with an Exhibition on the History of Medical Technology

The Kandó Kálmán Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Obuda University is now home to a unique exhibition showcasing a fascinating chapter in the development of medical technology. Created thanks to a donation from Siemens Healthineers, the exhibition offers an insight into the history, major milestones, and remarkable evolution of the field through iconic medical devices and historical artefacts.

The objects on display create a unique connection between technological innovation, healthcare, and education. Visitors can discover engineering solutions used in the early days of medical diagnostics and therapy, while also gaining an understanding of how pioneering engineering achievements of the past laid the foundations for today’s modern, intelligent healthcare technologies.

The exhibition is located along one of the busiest corridors of the Tavaszmező Street Campus, making it freely accessible not only to students and staff of the Kandó Faculty, but also to other members of the Obuda University community and external visitors who pass through the campus each day.

More than simply paying tribute to the past, the exhibition also aims to inspire the engineers of the future. We therefore encourage all interested visitors, lecturers, and students to explore this unique collection when visiting the campus.
