Short Term Mobility
Within the framework of the Pannonia Scholarship Programme, successful applicants may participate in a short-term mobility activity (from a minimum of 2 days up to a maximum of 30 days) in order to:
- take part in a study visit at one of our partner universities (e.g. short intensive courses, summer schools, conferences, etc.),
- carry out research activities.
Applications may only be submitted for individual or group mobility activities proposed and approved by the relevant faculty.
For mobility activities implemented under the Pannonia Scholarship Programme, please note that the deadline for submitting the required mobility documentation is at least 5 weeks before the start of the mobility period, while the Grant Agreement must be submitted at least 2 weeks before departure. The deadline for uploading the documents required to certify and close the mobility is within 5 working days following the end of the mobility period.
Types of Mobility
- Short-Term Student Mobility for Studies
A short-term, credit-bearing study mobility activity with a duration of 2 to 30 days. The credits earned during the mobility must be recognized and incorporated into the student’s academic programme.
Short-term study mobility may include participation in:
- intensive short courses,
- summer school programmes,
- conferences.
Conference participation is eligible for support only if the student actively contributes to the professional content or implementation of the event, for example by giving a presentation or participating in a workshop. Attendance alone is not eligible for funding.
Purpose of the Mobility
- Participation in intensive courses;
- Participation in summer school programmes;
- Delivering a conference presentation.
Who Can Apply?
Applicants must:
- be enrolled in a Master’s or Doctoral programme, regardless of study mode. In justified cases, Bachelor’s students may also apply;
- hold active student status at Obuda University (OU) both at the time of application and throughout the mobility period;
- possess Hungarian citizenship, a registration certificate, or a valid residence permit;
- in the case of Bachelor’s (BSc) and Master’s (MSc) students, have completed at least two semesters by the application deadline (faculty-specific regulations may differ);
- in the case of Doctoral students, there is no minimum completed semester requirement;
- meet the application requirements of the relevant faculty and the expectations of the host institution.

Required Documents for Application
Bachelor’s and Master’s Students
Mandatory Attachments
- Motivation Letter (maximum half a page);
- Letter of Acceptance;
- Supervisor’s or Lecturer’s Recommendation (maximum half a page);
- Transcript of Records certified by the Registrar’s Office based on data from the Neptun system;
- Certificate of Active Student Status;
- Proof of Language Proficiency (e.g. language certificate, certificate of professional language competence, etc.).
Optional Attachments
- Proof of previous research activities or other professionally relevant documents (e.g. membership in a College for Advanced Studies, participation in a Scientific Students’ Association Conference (TDK), publications, standards, intellectual property, etc.);
- Proof of previous professional and/or excellence scholarships (e.g. UNKP, NFO, TDK Scholarship, etc.). The absence of such achievements does not constitute a disadvantage.
Doctoral Students
Mandatory Attachments
- Supervisor’s or Lecturer’s Recommendation (maximum half a page);
- Summary of scientific and research activities, including supporting documents (e.g. publications, standards, intellectual property, etc.);
- Certificate of Active Student Status;
- Proof of Language Proficiency (e.g. language certificate, certificate of professional language competence, etc.).
- Short-Term Mobility for Research
A short-term research activity carried out at a foreign partner university or research institution, contributing to the student’s academic studies and supporting the implementation of the University’s internationalization and research strategy. Such mobility promotes scientific advancement, the acquisition of up-to-date knowledge, the generation of new research results, and the development of international research collaborations.
The duration of the mobility may range from 2 to 30 days.
Purpose of the Mobility
- Building an international professional network;
- Gaining international research experience;
- Conducting research necessary for the completion of a thesis or dissertation.
The research activity must contribute to the implementation of the University’s internationalization and research strategy and must be supported by the student’s academic supervisor.
The research activity must form part of the student’s academic programme, be recognized with academic credit, and contribute to academic progression.
Before departure, the student, the academic supervisor, and the host researcher must agree on the activities and tasks to be carried out during the mobility.
Following the mobility, the student must prepare a research report outlining the activities completed and the results achieved. The report must be approved by the student’s supervisor.
Who Can Apply?
Applicants must:
- be enrolled in a Doctoral programme, regardless of study mode;
- hold active student status at OU both at the time of application and throughout the mobility period;
- possess Hungarian citizenship, a registration certificate, or a valid residence permit;
- meet the application requirements of the relevant Doctoral School and the expectations of the host institution.

Maximum funded duration: 30 days
Required Documents for Application
- Motivation Letter and a Short Research Plan explaining the purpose of the mobility in relation to previous research results or future research objectives (maximum three-quarters of a page);
- Supervisor’s Recommendation;
- Host Declaration issued by the host supervisor;
- Summary of previous scientific and research activities or a publication list;
- Proof of Language Proficiency (e.g. language certificate, certificate of professional language competence, etc.);
- Certificate of Active Student Status;
- A Research Plan approved by the supervisor for mobility periods exceeding 10 working days.
Grant Amount
The amount of funding available depends on:
- the applicant’s study level;
- the approved duration of the mobility;
- the host country.
