Obuda University Celebrates Professor Peng Shi’s Prestigious IEEE Award
Obuda University proudly congratulates Professor Peng Shi, a Distinguished Professor of our university, on his selection as the recipient of the 2027 IEEE Lotfi A. Zadeh Award for Emerging Technologies. This major international honour recognises his outstanding scientific contributions and their impact on technological progress.
Professor Shi, an IEEE Life Fellow and professor at Adelaide University, is being honoured for his contributions to the application of artificial intelligence in robust control and filtering for complex systems. His research spans intelligent technologies, autonomous and robotic systems, and cyber-physical systems.
The distinction belongs to IEEE’s prestigious Technical Field Awards programme, whose recipients are selected through rigorous peer review evaluating technical achievements, societal impact and leadership. IEEE announced the recipients on 22 September 2026, with the presentation scheduled for 5 May 2027 during IEEE Awards Week.
Professor Shi’s achievement is a source of great pride for Obuda University and an inspiration to our researchers and students. Our university community warmly congratulates him on this exceptional recognition and wishes him continued success in advancing science and technology.
