A Broad Framework for Cooperation is Taking Shape with Jiangnan University in China
The Senate Hall of Obuda University hosted a high-level diplomatic and professional meeting, in which the leadership of our institution received the delegation of China's Jiangnan University. The primary aim of the visit was to establish contact between the two institutions and to outline the strategic framework for future scientific and educational cooperation. During the discussions, the parties mutually presented their academic portfolios, with particular regard to research directions that are competitive on the international stage.
Jiangnan University, located in Wuxi, is a key player in Chinese higher education. With more than thirty thousand students and twenty-four independent schools, the partner institution demonstrates globally outstanding performance in the fields of food science, biotechnology, and textile engineering.
During the discussions, several promising areas of cooperation were identified, including the production of student and faculty mobility, the development of joint research projects and laboratory infrastructure, as well as collaboration in the field of smart textiles.
The parties also placed strong emphasis on the potential for industry collaboration and the joint organization of conferences. In addition, plans were raised for the launch of a dedicated summer university programme for Chinese students.
