High-Level Korean Delegation Makes a Visit to our University
Eighteen university leaders arrived at Obuda University under the leadership of Yong Seb Choi, President of the University Competitiveness Network (UCN). The discussions focused on the role of artificial intelligence in higher education and the future of the sector.
The arrival of the delegation in itself constitutes a significant form of international recognition for our institution, as emphasized by Prof. Dr. Levente Kovács. In connection with the consultations, the Rector highlighted that artificial intelligence represents a central issue in contemporary discourse, while Hungary is consistently ranked among the world's top 20 countries in its application.
The discussions also outlined concrete directions for cooperation: the organization of joint professional forums; models of industry-university collaboration; the relationships between the University Research and Innovation Centre and the faculties; and the sharing of talent development practices were brought into focus, with the support of the Korean Embassy. The visit also aligns with the university's broader internationalization efforts, within the framework of which partnerships have already been established with six Korean universities.
The meeting represents a significant step forward for Obuda University, strengthening the foundations of long-term strategic collaborations and further expanding the institution's international network of partnerships.
