AI Era in Medical Technology – Future Compliance Solutions Presented at Óbuda University
Our university hosted the MedTech eCompliance Day with great interest, an event that sought answers to one of the most pressing challenges in the medical device industry: how can digitalization and artificial intelligence facilitate the market entry of safe and innovative medical devices?
The event speakers demonstrated through practical examples how digital solutions, electronic technical documentation (eTD) systems, digital quality management systems (eQMS), and AI-supported compliance processes can make these operations more efficient.
Participants were welcomed by Prof. Dr. György Eigner, Dean of the John von Neumann Faculty of Informatics, and András F. Tóth, the university's MedTech Project Manager, who emphasized the institution's commitment to industrial innovation and practice-oriented education.
A major highlight of the event was the announcement that the meddevo eTD platform, developed by the German company meddevo, is being integrated into medical device higher education in the Central and Eastern European region for the first time, thanks to the partnership between SAASCO Medical, meddevo, and Óbuda University. This allows students to gain practical experience with the same digital tools utilized by leaders in the international industry. Óbuda University is not only keeping pace with, but actively shaping the future of medical technology innovation and the industrial application of artificial intelligence, in close collaboration with its domestic and international partners.
