International Conference and Workshop on Electrical and Energy Engineering at Obuda University.
The IEEE 8th International Conference and Workshop in Obuda on Electrical and Power Engineering serves as an international forum for researchers and professionals working in the fields of electrical engineering, power electronics, energy systems, automation, and intelligent technologies.
Dr. habil. Viktória Sugár, Vice-Rector for Sustainability and Strategic Development at Obuda University, welcomed the participants on behalf of Rector Prof. Dr. Levente Kovács. The attendees were also greeted by Dr. habil. Dániel Drexler representing the IEEE Hungary Section.
Prof. Dr. Róbert Szabolcsi, Dean of the Kálmán Kandó Faculty of Electrical Engineering and General Chair of CANDO-EPE 2026, emphasized the importance of international cooperation in engineering research and education. Dr. József Kopják, General Chair of the conference, presented the scientific program.
A total of 94 papers were submitted to the conference, of which 62 were accepted, resulting in an acceptance rate of 66 percent. Authors from approximately ten countries contributed to the scientific program, further strengthening the international character of the event.
The plenary program featured the following distinguished invited speakers: László Oláh – Monetize University Lab Output; Wolfgang Gruber – At the Heart of Bearingless Drive Technology; Anikó Costa – Hands-On Learning for Social Good: Adapting Toys for Children with Special Needs; and Vladimír Soběslav – Cybersecurity in Smart Cities: Integrating Process and Ontological Modeling, Security Baselines, and Experimental Validation.
The event once again demonstrated the importance of international collaboration in advancing research and innovation in electrical engineering and power electronics.
