Joint developments to be launched in the fields of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence

Pro-M Zrt. and Óbuda University have signed a cooperation agreement that creates new opportunities in the research, development, and education of cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and next-generation communication technologies.
The objective of the collaboration is for the two organisations to align their research and development activities, promote the practical application of scientific achievements, and strengthen ties between higher education and the infocommunications sector.
Within the framework of this partnership, the parties will work jointly on developing innovative solutions that contribute to the secure and efficient operation of digital infrastructures.

Key areas of the cooperation include cybersecurity and the protection of critical infrastructures, the development of critical communication systems, the application of 5G and 6G technologies, as well as research into network management and cyber defence solutions built on artificial intelligence. In addition, they will launch joint research and development programmes in areas such as AI-based incident detection, security analysis of critical infrastructures, and the creation of specialized test environments.

A key element of the agreement is the support of the next generation of professionals. Pro-M Zrt. will assist Óbuda University students by providing guest lectures, consultation opportunities, and internships, enabling them to engage in projects related to state-of-the-art technological developments during their studies. Furthermore, the university and the company will jointly support industrial doctoral collaborations, the thesis writing process, Scientific Students' Associations (TDK) research, and the promotion of cooperative training models.

According to Rector Prof. Dr. Levente Kovács, the partnership creates new opportunities for students and researchers to participate in the development of state-of-the-art technologies, while Dr. Ferenc Balla highlighted that the collaboration simultaneously serves to promote innovation and ensure a high-quality pipeline of future professionals.
