Obuda University Expands Its Network in Lebanon

As part of the Lebanese American University’s (LAU) International Days on 17 April, 2025, a joint panel discussion was held with representatives from the International Relations Offices of five Lebanese universities: the American University of Beirut (AUB), Beirut Arab University (BAU), Lebanese American University (LAU), Notre Dame University - Louaize (NDU), and the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK).

Obuda University was represented by Haya Altaleb, who joined the panel to exchange insights on the evolving landscape of international education in Lebanon and similar contexts across the MENA region. The discussion addressed shared challenges such as student mobility, resource constraints, and partnership development, while also highlighting innovative practices and opportunities for collaboration during times of crisis. The event was hosted by LAU’s Senior Director of International Services and Programs, Dina Abdul Rahman. It provided a space for exploring inter-institutional collaboration and strengthening academic ties. The event also underscored the growing interest in academic cooperation between Lebanese institutions — many of which are American and French affiliated — and international partners. Continued dialogue is anticipated to support further engagement and knowledge exchange. Participation in such initiatives reflects broader regional efforts to enhance global academic connectivity.
