Óbuda University participates in Hungarian-Korean joint research development

A delegation of experts from the Korea Development Institute held a meeting on 18 April to discuss opportunities for priority scientific cooperation. Dr. habil. Ervin Rácz introduced our university, and the meeting was attended by the heads and staff of the Kandó Kálmán Faculty of Electrical Engineering, the Bánki Donát Faculty of Mechanical and Safety Engineering and the John von Neumann Faculty of Informatics. The Kandó and Bánki Faculties presented the framework for cooperation, focusing on two priority themes. The Óbuda University is ready to participate in joint projects in several areas, such as alternative energies, technical solutions for life cycle analysis and management.

Dr habil. György Molnár, Dean of the Kandó Kálmán Faculty of Electrical Engineering, represented Óbuda University at the Ministry of Culture and Innovation, where he had talks with Korean and Hungarian energy policy experts. He stressed that "in order to ensure an adequate supply of professionals, it is worthwhile to rethink and assess the training and output levels, competences and requirements.



The Óbuda University offers cooperation education and training opportunities for the Korean side from the higher education level, through the BSc and MSc engineering courses up to the PhD level. In addition, our university can build on the knowledge base of its industrial partners and outsourced industrial departments to provide the right level and quality of internships for students."
