Conference INES 2022

IEEE 26th International Conference on Intelligent Engineering Systems 2022 (INES 2022) was held on August 12-15, 2022 in Crete, Greece.

The first edition of INES conference series was organized in 1997, and this year the beautiful Hydramis Palace Beach Resort hosted the event. Having two full years on strict Zoom meetings, this conference was possible to be organized in hybrid, ie. everyone was welcome to Crete to attend personally, but also online presentation was offered for those who could not arrange the travel.

Prof. Dr. Levente Kovács, General Chair, held a welcome speech at the Opening Ceremony, and acknowledged the hard work for everyone who made it possible that INES 2022 came true.

Prof. Dr. Imre J. Rudas, INES Founding Honorary Chair, prepared a jubilee history overview of INES conference series from the very beginning, which presented a nice panoramic view of development throu some milestones.

Plenary talks were given by Prof. Dr. József Bokor, ’Dynamics and Control of Autonomous Vehicles’, and Dr. Péter Galambos, ’Robotics out of the Mainstream: Special Topics in Agrifood and Laboratory Automation’.

According to using the hybrid presentation method, authors could present their papers either in oral, e-poster or online via Zoom. Since participants were satisfied with hybrid platform, it seems to be the standard way for next conferences also.

Organizers, sponsors and technical co-sponsors made INES 2022 came true, Óbuda University, Budapest, Hungary, IEEE Hungary Section, IEEE Greece Section, Hungarian Fuzzy Association, IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, IEEE Joint Chapter of IES and RAS, IEEE SMC Chapter and IEEE Control Systems Chapter supported the event.

Conference proceedings that meet IEEE quality review standards may be eligible for inclusion in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library.
