Research of Rector of Óbuda University is Rewarded

In the recent decades, an important focus of diabetological research has been the development of artificial pancreas, which can provide a realistic solution to replace the endocrine function of the pancreas.

The Hungarian Pancreas Working Group was set up several years ago under Prof. Dr. Levente Kovács’s co-chairmanship to research this area. Now it is announced that the Working Group was officially accepted by the Board of the Hungarian Diabetes Association on 4 September 2021 as the Hungarian Artificial Pancreas Working Group of the MDT and Prof. Dr. Levente Kovács has accepted the invitation to co-chair the Working Group. Óbuda University is a leading Hungarian centre for diabetes engineering research, so members are proud to receive this professional recognition, which also crowns many years of intensive research activities.
