Bachelor’s Programs

Our faculties offer BSc degree programmes for the length of seven semesters. Out of 16 (BSc) undergraduate degrees, 8 (BSc) programmes are offered in English language.

The programmes focus on the scientific fundamentals, such as mathematics, physics, computing, mechanics, engineering, drawing, and chemistry, necessary requirements for chosen fields of engineering. The engineering faculties provide a thorough knowledge of practical engineering and depending on the faculty, offer opportunities for specialisation. Each faculty divides their programmes into branches with compulsory electives and optional elective subjects.

Depending on the BSc faculty, specialisations may include: geo-informatics, corporate strategy, info-communication technologies, instrumentation and automation, IoT, embedded systems and robotics, big data, business intelligence, cloud service technologies, IT security, software design and development, environmental public administration, green energy, textiles and interiors and packaging.

Experimental work executed in well-equipped laboratory facilities are core components of the training. The hours of instruction range from 26 to 32 hours per week. Some variation occurs during the last semester when students work on final projects. Students typically take 5 – 6 exams each semester and are required to participate in active research and design within the project laboratories. This active research develops directed study, an ability to undertake independent research with minimal supervision.

Upon a successful completion of the curriculum and final projects, a student will be granted a BSc degree which certifies its holder’s competence to be engaged in either engineering production or in a technology-related field.
