Tuition fees

Applying to Obuda University involves two separate mandatory payments:

1. Application fee: 150 EUR

This fee is required for every application, is paid during the application process, and is non-refundable.

2. Tuition fee: payable per academic semester

The exact tuition fee depends on the selected program and is listed in the table below.

The application fee is not part of the tuition fee.

If an applicant submits a new application (for example, reapplying after a visa refusal or for a later intake), the application fee must be paid again.

Any tuition fee refund is handled through a separate refund procedure, which may involve additional costs and deductions. Details are provided below the table and in the official refund policy here.

All questions or requests regarding the process must be sent to admission@uni-obuda.hu.

Refund Policy

This information provided is for informational purposes only and does not include all details. The full official refund policy can be found here.

Refund requests must be submitted exclusively through the University website.

Due to international anti-money laundering regulations, the University can only transfer the refund back to the original bank account from which the tuition fee was initially paid. The student must provide the exact details of this original account in their refund request.

The refund amount is subject to a mandatory Earnest money of the tuition fee, which covers, among other things, the reservation of the student’s place, confirm the student’s status as a self-financing student, bank transaction costs, and administrative overheads.

In all cases where a refund is requested prior to enrolment (including visa rejection, medical issues, or any other personal reasons), a 15% Earnest money of the paid tuition fee will be deducted from the total sum, regardless of the circumstances.

If a student has already officially enrolled at the University and within one month of the start of the academic year, but no later than October 14 or March 14, respectively, announce in writing the termination or suspension, and requests a refund (regardless of the reason), a 20% Earnest money of the paid tuition fee will be deducted.

The student waives the right to challenge the deductions on the grounds of obvious disproportionality and does not make any claims against the university.
