The University Doctoral and Habilitation Office is responsible for organizing education related to university doctoral training and habilitation degrees, as well as administrative tasks related to doctoral student administration, and assists the work of the University Doctoral and Habilitation Council (hereinafter: EDHT).

• Its tasks include, in particular:
• preparing proposals related to doctoral education and degree acquisition, as well as habilitation degree acquisition, to be submitted to university bodies;
• preparing the review and amendment of the EDHT regulations and rules of procedure;
• maintains contact with the National Doctoral Council and the Hungarian Higher Education Accreditation Committee, and prepares the administration of registration procedures required by law,
• handles student complaints and appeals related to doctoral training,
• coordinates the preparation of data to be announced for doctoral admissions, prepares admission statistics in cooperation with doctoral schools,
• organizes EDHT meetings and habilitation procedures, supervises doctoral defenses organized by doctoral schools.
• The University Doctoral and Habilitation Office performs its tasks under the professional guidance of the EDHT chair.
