The Directorate-General for Economic Affairs is responsible for budget planning, ensuring and monitoring transparent and efficient management, fulfilling financing, data reporting, and accounting obligations, complying with financial and accounting regulations, and monitoring mid-year management. It is headed by the Director-General for Economic Affairs, who is appointed by the Maintaining Authority.
