Tapani Jokinen, Professor Emeritus at the Aalto University Department of Electrical Engineering and Automation, has been awarded honorary doctorate by Obuda University in Hungary. Tapani Jokinen’s field of research is electrical engineering, particularly electromechanics. He has worked in partnership with the universities in Budapest and Pécs since the 1970s.

Obuda University says the honorary doctorate is a recognition of Jokinen’s considerable merits in the fields of electromechanics, rotating electrical machines, problem solving, and product development, and his high-quality scientific cooperation with the university’s Kálmán Kandó Faculty of Electrical Engineering.
