Obuda University’s GenAI Platform

Obuda University’s GenAI platform is a centralized, secure, and innovative interface that makes state-of-the-art generative artificial intelligence models accessible to university citizens. The system is built on the foundations of Open WebUI, and its goal is to support education, research, and daily administration alike. The platform was born in the spirit of “creative adaptation“: we do not ban AI, but rather integrate it into everyday life.

Key Features

The platform offers more than a simple chat window. Discover the built-in capabilities:

  • Multi-model Support: Use multiple models simultaneously! You can run different AI engines in parallel on the interface, allowing you to compare their answers and perspectives.

  • Web Search: Need real-time information? With the help of the built-in search module, the models integrate up-to-date sources and citations into their responses.

  • Code Interpreter: Run Python code directly in the chat! Ideal for data analysis, creating visualizations, or testing algorithms.

  • Document Analysis (RAG): Upload PDF, TXT, or DOCX files and chat about their content. The model analyzes notes, research materials, or source codes.

For Developers: Integration with VS Code

The platform is not only accessible from a browser. Using the Cline and Continue extensions, you can connect the university AI models directly into the Visual Studio Code development environment.

  • Generate entire projects, edit files, and run commands with the help of AI.

  • Use the university API key for secure and cost-effective access.
