What are the English language requirements for admission?

Are there programs available in other languages?

No, the language of instruction for these programs is exclusively English.

 

Do you accept Medium of Instruction (MOI) certificates instead of IELTS?

Acceptance of MOI-based applications is subject to the decision of the Educational Committee and falls under the faculty’s admission competence.

Can I apply using a “Certificate of Enrolment” from my current school?

No. A Certificate of Enrolment only proves you are a student; it does not prove you have completed the degree required for admission.

 

Do I need to upload a translation of my ID/Passport?

If your ID or Passport contains your data in English, a translation is not required. Otherwise, an official English translation must be provided.

Can I apply for and study two programs simultaneously?

No, it is not possible to enrol in and complete two programs at the same time.

 

Are there special rules for applicants from specific countries (e.g., Pakistan, Bangladesh, Yemen, Iraq)?

Currently, there are no separate procedures or regulations for non-EU applicants from these regions; the standard international admission process applies.

I will only receive my diploma in the summer. When can I get my Final Acceptance Letter?

The faculty can only issue the Final Acceptance Letter after you have officially obtained and submitted your diploma.

 

Is there a limit on the “GAP” years (study hiatus) allowed?

The acceptance of a study hiatus is subject to the decision of the Educational Committee.

 

Are GCSE or GED certificates accepted?

The acceptance of GCSE or GED certificates falls under the faculty’s admission competence and is subject to the Educational Committee’s approval.

 

How do I handle credit transfers from previous studies?

Requests for credit transfers should be forwarded directly to the relevant Faculty for review.

 

Do you accept self-made translations of my documents?

No. All translations must be official (issued by the school, a notary, or a certified translation office).

When should I pay the tuition fee?

The tuition fee is due after you have successfully passed the faculty admission process and the interview.

 

Where can I find the payment link?

The payment link is accessible exclusively through your personal account on the application portal.

 

What is the payment deadline?

The deadline is 10 days for both the application and tuition fee payments (as set in the online system). If you need more time, you may request an extension to adjust the system deadline.

 

Are there any tuition fee waivers or scholarships available?

For those seeking financial aid, we recommend applying for the Stipendium Hungaricum (SH) scholarship.

 

I have dual citizenship (EU and non-EU). Which tuition fee applies to me?

The tuition fee is determined by the passport you upload during the application process.

 

What is the refund policy?

Does the university assist with the visa process?

Applicants are responsible for managing and arranging their own visa applications.

 

How long does it take to receive the Final Acceptance Letter after payment?

It takes a maximum of 10 working days.

 

Can an agent or a third party inquire on my behalf?

We only provide answers to general application questions to third parties.

 

Is there dormitory placement for admitted students?

Students who have received their Final Acceptance Letter will be provided with contact information to request accommodation options.

Where can I find an apartment?

The university does not provide private rental services. We recommend using reputable real estate websites or verified social media groups for students.

Where do I register/enrol? 

Enrolment is handled exclusively at your respective Faculty’s Registrar’s Office (Kari Tanulmányi Osztály).

 

Who is my study coordinator and where are they located?

Each Faculty has its own Registrar’s Office. Please check your Faculty’s website for the contact details of your specific coordinator.

 

Where can I get my Student ID?

Student IDs are not issued by the International Office. You must apply for a NEK datasheet at a Government Office (Kormányablak) and then complete the process at your Faculty’s Registrar’s Office.

 

How do I get a TAJ card (Social Security)?

TAJ cards are primarily for scholarship holders. Self-financing students are generally required to have private health insurance.

 

How can I get a prescription without a TAJ card?

Private doctors can issue “full price” prescriptions. You will need to pay the total cost of the medicine at the pharmacy.

When do entrance exams start?

Entrance examinations and interviews begin in March and continue through June.

What are the admission quotas for different countries?

We do not have quotas for different countries for self-financing students.

Do you accept transfer students from foreign or other Hungarian universities?

Yes, transfer requests are possible if you have an active student status.
