Prof. Daoyi Dong, an International Authority Figure within IEEE, Delivered a Distinguished Lecture at Óbuda University
Óbuda University recently hosted an IEEE Distinguished Lecture organized by the Hungarian Chapter of the IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society. The featured speaker was Prof. Daoyi Dong, IEEE Fellow and internationally recognized researcher in reinforcement learning and quantum engineering applications.
Prof. Daoyi Dong (IEEE Fellow) is a Professor at the University of Technology Sydney and an ARC Future Fellow. Throughout his distinguished academic career, he has held professorial and associate professorial positions at both the Australian National University and the University of New South Wales. He has also been a visiting researcher at several prestigious institutions, including Princeton University and RIKEN.
His research focuses on machine learning, quantum control, system identification, and renewable energy systems. In these fields, he has authored more than 150 articles in leading scientific journals, including over 50 papers published in IEEE Transactions journals, as well as more than 60 conference publications.
His internationally recognized scientific contributions have been acknowledged through numerous prestigious research awards and fellowships in Australia, Germany, and Asia, including the Humboldt Fellowship and the Scientia Fellowship. In addition to his research activities, Prof. Dong serves in several leadership roles within the international IEEE community and contributes to the advancement of the field through editorial and executive positions in leading scientific journals and professional organizations.
