Obuda University: No. 1 in Hungary for Science & Technology, Top 800 Worldwide

The Times Higher Education (THE) has published the 2026 World University Rankings, assessing 2,191 universities worldwide. Obuda University improved its position by nearly 70 positions and proudly secured its place in the 601–800 band globally, confirming its growing international reputation and research strength. Within Hungary, Obuda University is ranked second, just after Semmelweis University.

The THE ranking evaluates universities across five key areas: Teaching, Research Environment, Research Quality, International Outlook, and Industry Engagement. Institutions are scored using a rich set of performance indicators based on global data and reputational surveys.
