Graduate programs

Students who hold a BSc degree or an equivalent qualification may continue their studies at the MSc level. Out of 25 available (MSc) graduate degrees programmes, 15 are offered in English. Admission and placement depend on the applicant’s academic background and their current level of knowledge, including English proficiency, which is assessed before acceptance.

Several MSc programmes include refresher courses or preparatory semesters designed to help students strengthen their understanding of key engineering subjects before starting the main coursework. Applicants are required to submit their academic transcripts along with any relevant information about their professional experience.
Once admitted, students follow a structured curriculum but have the freedom to select elective courses that match their interests. Classes are typically held in small groups, encouraging personalised learning and close collaboration with academic tutors. Students also enjoy full access to laboratories, researvh facilities, and computer resources.
Most MSc programmes last four semesters (two years) and include approximately 26 hours of weekly instruction with five examinations per semester. After successfully completing their thesis and final exams, graduates receive their MSc degree, qualifying them to carry out independent research and solve complex, high-level engineering challenges.
Recommended for those

students holding a BSc in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics and Engineering.

Brief Course Description/Objective

In today’s typically inter- and multidisciplinary working environment, there is a strong need for professionals with a strong theoretical background, capable of analysing and effectively solving mathematical problems in engineering applications. Our Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics with a specialisation in Engineering Mathematics is unique in the country and represents a niche in this field. Applied mathematics is a branch of mathematics that focuses on mathematical methods applied in engineering and natural sciences, industry and economics, modelling, analysing and studying problems, developing and applying methods to solve them, and providing algorithmic tools for their study. The aim of the course is to train mathematicians who are able to effectively model and solve problems that arise in real-life applications, within engineering, natural sciences, industry and management. The curriculum follows the recommendations of the SIAM, putting emphasis to application-oriented mathematics, practical applications, modelling and communication skills, team work, computer programming and high-performance computing.
