Obuda University Signs Memorandum of Understanding with VILNIUS TECH
Obuda University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VILNIUS TECH), one of Lithuania’s leading technical universities. The agreement was signed in Vilnius, where Obuda University formalised its accession to the Magna Charta Universitatum. It aims to strengthen professional ties between the two institutions, promote joint research and innovation initiatives, and create new international opportunities for students and staff.
Rector Prof. Dr. Levente Kovács described the agreement as an important milestone in the development of Obuda University’s international relations. The memorandum lays the groundwork for closer professional cooperation and for joint research and innovation projects. It also opens new ways for students and staff to gain international experience.
VILNIUS TECH is known for its excellence in teaching and research in engineering, computer science, technology and innovation.
The two universities had already met in person shortly before the signing: last week, a VILNIUS TECH delegation visited Obuda University’s Alba Regia Faculty in Székesfehérvár. The agreement itself was signed in Vilnius, during the Obuda University delegation’s visit to formalise the university’s accession to the Magna Charta Universitatum, a declaration of the fundamental values of universities.
