A research alliance has been established between the University of Public Service (NKE) and Óbuda University (ÓE)
The University of Public Service (NKE) and Óbuda University (ÓE) have signed a cooperation agreement, marking the first major milestone in research, development, and educational collaboration between the two institutions. The partnership opens new horizons in the fields of technological and security innovation. The document was signed at the University of Public Service on March 31 by Dr. Gergely Deli, Rector of NKE, and Prof. Dr. Levente Kovács, Rector of Óbuda University.
Key focus areas of the partnership include the development of dual-use technologies, research in law enforcement and private security, the advancement of communication systems and cybersecurity, and the establishment of cyber range exercises. Furthermore, the cooperation extends to AI-based research, the development of defense solutions related to autonomous—aerial and ground—vehicles, and the study of technologies associated with the 'digital soldier' concept. It also encompasses research and development programs related to water management, water infrastructure, and water diplomacy.
Under the framework of this agreement, NKE and Óbuda University will jointly strive to access domestic and European Union research funding, implement technological innovations, launch research projects financed by their own resources, organize professional training, and submit as well as execute joint grant proposals. At the same time, the agreement does not constitute a direct financial commitment and does not entail immediate obligations regarding specific projects.
