Obuda University Achieves the Largest Improvement in QS Europe Rankings in 2026
Obuda University has reached an important milestone in the lastest QS Europe University Rankings, achieving the largest improvement in Europe by moving up 77 places this year.
The QS rankings are based on several indicators, including academic credibility, employer reputation, research performance, and the extent of international and institutional collaboration. In subject rankings, QS also considers factors such as citations, research impact, and prominence within specific fields.
In terms of subject rankings, the University also made clear progress. Previously, Obuda University was listed only in the field of Computer Science and Information Systems. In 2025, it was ranked in the 751-800 band, moving up one category this year, to the 701-750 band.
In addition, 2026 marks another important step: for the first time, Obuda University has been included in a second subject ranking: Mathematics, where it is ranked in the 501-600 band.
