Distinguished Program of Obuda University Launches for the Fifth Time
Obuda University has announced the fifth call for applications for its Distinguished Program, continuing its strategic investment in internationally competitive research and academic excellence.
Since its launch in 2022, the programme has become a cornerstone of the University’s research development strategy. Designed to attract outstanding researchers at different career stages, the Distinguished Program empowers scholars not only to conduct high-impact research, but to shape the entire research environment of the university.
The programme offers three complementary schemes:
• Distinguished Professor of Obuda University
• Consolidator Researcher of Obuda University
• Starting Excellence Researcher
Beyond individual research achievements, the aim of the programme is systemic impact. Awardees are expected to establish and lead research centres, build internationally visible research groups, and supervise PhD students. By bringing globally experienced scholars into the University Research and Innovation Center (EKIK), the initiative strengthens doctoral education, enhances mentorship culture, and fosters interdisciplinary collaboration.
These researchers serve as academic catalysts: they elevate standards, introduce new methodologies, expand international networks and demonstrate to students and colleagues alike how world-class research is conducted.
