Obuda University Strengthens Academic Cooperation with Uzbek Partner Institutions
On 5 February 2026, Obuda University welcomed a delegation from Uzbekistan, marking the third official visit of Karshi State Technical University to the University. The visit was organised in connection with the initiation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing process between the two institutions and also included a representative of Shahrisabz State Pedagogical Institute.
The Uzbek delegation was led by Aloviddin Zayniddinov, Vice-Rector for Financial and Economic Affairs of Karshi State Technical University. On behalf of Obuda University, the meeting was hosted by Prof. Dr. Zoltán Rajnai, Vice-Rector, with the participation of Prof. Dr. György Molnár and Prof. Dr. Anna Tünde Kovács.
Discussions focused on strengthening long-term institutional cooperation, with particular emphasis on joint research activities, co-authored scientific publications, and future forms of educational collaboration. Both sides confirmed their intention to develop joint research projects, building on the cooperation and mutual trust established during previous visits.
International scientific collaboration was identified as a priority area. In this context, the Uzbek partners were invited to participate in the ICCECIP conference, which was highlighted as a relevant platform for supporting joint research activities and increasing international academic visibility.
The visit once again confirmed Obuda University’s active role in Uzbek–Hungarian higher education cooperation and the strategic importance of its partnership with Karshi State Technical University.
