For prospective students, these rankings offer a useful overview of how universities perform in areas such as research, teaching, international opportunities, and future career prospects.
The QS Europe Rankings assess universities across four main dimensions: research and academic impact; employability and career outcomes; learning experience; and international engagement and sustainability. Together, these aspects reflect overall academic performance while also providing insight into the student experience.
Obuda University has traditionally performed particularly well in research-focused rankings, such as the world and subject rankings of Times Higher Education. The latest QS results, however, also indicate clear progress in reputation-based indicators, demonstrating that the University is strengthening not only its research profile but also its standing among academic and employer communities. In the QS Europe Rankings, Obuda University currently ranks 7th nationally, while in the global QS rankings it continues to be listed among the world’s top 1,200 universities.
The University’s strongest areas remain research performance and international presence. Its active research activity contributes to high-quality education, while the growing number of international faculty members and students fosters an open and diverse learning environment.
Overall, the improvement achieved in the QS Europe University Rankings confirms that Obuda University is becoming an increasingly visible and attractive choice for students, offering a strong academic foundation alongside an expanding international network.
