Strengthening Ties with National Tshing Hua University

Following last year’s visit by Obuda University representatives to the National Tsing Hua University (NTHU) in Taiwan, a delegation from NTHU’s College of Engineering visited Obuda University on 3 November 2025 to continue discussions on strengthening academic and research cooperation. The meeting focused on identifying new opportunities for collaboration in engineering, applied sciences, and innovation, as both institutions expressed their intent to build long-term partnerships in joint research, student mobility, and laboratory exchange.

Led by Prof. Yu-Chen Hu, Dean of the College of Engineering, and Prof. Chih-Yung Huang, Associate Dean, the Taiwanese delegation also included Prof. Heh-Nan Lin and Prof. Bo-Han Huang, representing key disciplines such as materials science, mechanical and aerospace engineering, and chemical engineering.

The program began with a visit to the BARK Robotic Laboratory at the University Research and Innovation Center (EKIK), guided, Vice-Rector for Innovation. This was followed by formal discussions in the Rector’s Conference Room, where participants exchanged insights about their institutions and identified potential areas for cooperation in research, education, and student mobility.



The delegation also toured the MedTech Laboratory at the John von Neumann Faculty of Informatics before concluding the morning with an informal networking session.



The guests were received by Prof. Dr. Péter Galambos, Vice-Rector for Innovation, and Dr. Marcel Pop, General Director for International Affairs. They were joined by Prof. Dr. habil. Róbert Szabolcsi, Dr. habil. László Koltai, Dr. Miklós Kozlovszky, Dr. habil. Viktor Gonda, Dávid Beke, and Emese Baranyi, representing the university’s various engineering faculties and research units.
