Prof. Dr. Levente Kovács, Rector of Obuda University, advanced to the final round as an official candidate for the Board of the European University Association (EUA). The EUA Board election for 2025 took place on October 2. Candidates were selected by the EUA Nominations Committee, which recommends nominees to be approved by the EUA Council. For the four open positions, the number of candidates equaled the available seats. The final decision was between Prof. Dr. Levente Kovács and Sunniva Whittaker, Rector of the University of Agder, Norway, for a place on the EUA Board.
