Our Distinguished Professors Presented Their Latest Scientific Achievements

On the day following the Opening Ceremony of the Academic Year, the Honorary Professors, Distinguished Professors, and Founding Research Award recipients delivered their inaugural lectures at the Mini Symposium 2025 held on 9 September. The aim of the organizers was to provide a platform for presenting the latest innovative, scientific, and research results of internationally renowned scholars who have received one of Obuda University’s most prestigious recognitions.

The symposium was opened with a welcome speech by Prof. Dr. Levente Kovács, Rector of Obuda University.



At the event, distinguished Hungarian and international speakers presented their most recent research findings. Péter Érdi (Kalamazoo College, USA) gave a lecture on the feedback control of biological systems, followed by Thomas I. Strasser (AIT Austrian Institute of Technology GmbH, Center for Energy, Austria), who addressed the design and validation of interdisciplinary smart energy systems.



Focusing on industrial and technological applications, Ferat Sahin (Kate Gleason College of Engineering, USA) examined the role of AR/VR solutions and the human comfort index in human-robot collaboration, while Almaz Kadyraliev (Kyrgyz Economic University) presented the impacts of increasing energy consumption on climate, as well as Kyrgyz efforts in energy efficiency and green technologies.



Árpád Baricz (Obuda University, Babeș–Bolyai University) showcased analytical error rate estimations using Marcum-type functions applied in signal processing, followed by Róbert Rajkó (Obuda University), who gave a comprehensive lecture on the multidisciplinary applications of chemical, biological, environmental, and technometric statistical methods.
