Two-Week English Language Training for University Lecturers from Uzbekistan

In August 2025, a successful two-week intensive English language training program was held at Obuda University, with 25 university lecturers participating from various higher education institutions across Uzbekistan. The aim of the program was to enhance participants’ English language skills, with a special focus on academic usage and fostering international collaboration. The training was conducted by the university’s Language Department instructors.

During the training, participants were introduced to modern language teaching methodologies, improved their communication skills, and gained insight into the Hungarian higher education system. The program included interactive classes, workshops, and cultural activities.

In addition to the academic sessions, participants had the opportunity to explore Budapest’s landmarks, as well as visit Székesfehérvár and Szentendre, enriching their cultural experience in Hungary.



The training not only supported professional development but also created valuable opportunities for building international academic relationships. Based on the participants’ positive feedback, further collaborations of this kind are anticipated in the future.
