Strategic Cooperation between Obuda University and the University of Seychelles

Obuda University and the University of Seychelles (UniSey) have signed a strategic cooperation agreement during the banquet of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) 12th International Joint Conference on Cybernetics and Computational Cybernetics, Cyber-Medical Systems (ICCC 2025). The document was signed by Prof. Dr. Levente Kovács, Rector of Obuda University, and Ms. Joëlle Perreau, Rector of UniSey.

With the signing of this agreement, intensive discussions have commenced regarding the future strategic partnership between the two institutions. Central topics of the negotiations include student and faculty mobility, joint research, innovation, sustainability, dual education, investment-oriented thinking, and certified technical training. Both universities have demonstrated a strong commitment to a forward-looking, mutually beneficial collaboration that supports students, educators, and researchers alike. Further consultations are expected to develop joint initiatives and define the framework for cooperation.

This partnership creates an opportunity for Obuda University and UniSey to jointly contribute to strengthening scientific and educational excellence, as well as promoting sustainable development in both countries.

Founded in 2009, UniSey is the first national university of the Seychelles, aiming to play a key role in the socio-economic transformation of the Seychelles and other small island states, while also contributing to the expansion of global knowledge and understanding.
