Outstanding Rejtő Talents at Fashion Week

Five industrial product and design engineering students from the Institute of Product Design at the Rejtő Sándor Faculty of Light Industry and Environmental Engineering gave a joint presentation at the Budapest Central European Fashion Week (BCEFW) event, held at the National Dance Theatre on September 1st. The professional discussions at the event focused on emerging talents and conscious efforts toward sustainability.

A curated selection of outfits from the Obuda University KOROND 2.0 fashion show was showcased at the international event, featuring the works of five outstanding talents: Anett Gyémánt, Kata Kerékgyártó, Regina Nagy, Laura Rajnai, and Dóra Szabó. All five are promising young students in the industrial product and design engineering program.

The event, organized as part of BCEFW, provided a unique platform for these emerging talents to present their work to distinguished professionals in the field and an international audience. The success of Obuda University’s young talents affirmed Hungary’s potential as a significant player in the global fashion industry.

The organizers of BCEFW aim to build a bridge between the Hungarian fashion world and professionals from neighboring regions, fostering commercial relationships and enhancing international visibility. The event is held twice a year and plays a crucial role in promoting Hungarian fashion talents and up-and-coming brands from the region on the global stage.
