Workshop on Developing Carbon-Neutral Cities

A delegation of researchers from our university participated in the EIG Concert Japan 10th Call, Solutions for Carbon Neutral Cities Kick-off Workshop held in Prague on October 29.

Hosted at the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports, the workshop marked the first presentation of the winning projects under the research program aimed at solutions for future carbon-neutral cities, where Obuda University’s team also received support.

Researchers from the Ybl Miklós Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering, in collaboration with partners from Hungary, Japan, and Poland, are studying the impact of green spaces in densely built urban areas across various climates. They are developing optimized designs to enhance climate adaptation, water, soil, and air quality, and to support carbon sequestration, ultimately creating a healthier environment for urban residents.
