Dutch Researcher Becomes Honorary Professor at Obuda University

The Senate of Obuda University has awarded the honorary professor title to Professor Werner Brouwer from Erasmus University Rotterdam in the Netherlands. The certificate of this title was presented by Prof. Dr. Levente Kovács, the rector, on May 8th to Professor Brouwer, who has maintained a significant scientific relationship with our institution for years and is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the University Research and Innovation Center (EKIK).

Professor Werner Brouwer's research focuses on the methodology of welfare economic evaluations in healthcare. His work has addressed topics such as optimal decision rules, the normative foundations of health economic evaluations, the measurement and evaluation of informal care and productivity costs, the incorporation of equity considerations into economic evaluations, and the monetary value of health gains. Additionally, he has conducted work on the relationship between economic evaluation and health policy, behavioral economics, and the economics of public health.
