Course Description:
Responsibilities of the student mentor, data management of the mentored. Specificities of peer mentoring roles. Mentor responsibilities related to role provision. Getting to know the peer mentor and the specificities of communicating with them. Developing relationship skills. Explore the mentor\'s prior knowledge, subject skills and personal characteristics. Subject-specific support (mentoring and tutoring). Identification of mentoring problems. The need for personal mentoring support for successful learning progress. Designing mentoring support. Methods of mentoring support. Motivating the mentored. Peer learning strategies and techniques. Diagnostic-, formative assessment-, sensitive feedback/evaluation in tutoring. Processing, analysis and evaluation of contemporary mentoring/tutoring case studies. Results of mentoring/tutoring work, holistic evaluation of the mentored/tutored

1. The role of the mentor in reducing drop-outs and catching up. Responsibilities of the student mentor, data management of the mentored.
2. The specificities of contemporary mentoring roles. Mentoring tasks related to role provision.

4. Exploring the mentored person\'s prior knowledge, subject skills and personal characteristics.

Assessment: The way to obtain a mid-term mark is to develop 4 required mid-term assignments and to develop and upload 1 tutoring/mentoring plan in Moodle. The mid-term mark is determined by the average of the 5 sub-tasks.
