Dr. József Pálfi

Dr. József Pálfi is the Rector and Professor at the Partium Christian University in Oradea. He is also the pastor of the Nagyvárad-Réti Reformed Church. He obtained his Doctor of Theology degree from the Reformed Theological University in Debrecen in 2009.

Since 2009, he has been a member of the Collegium of Doctors of the Hungarian Reformed Church, and from 2011, he has been a member of the External Committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. From 2015, he has been a member of the editorial board of the “Theological Forum” journal in Komárom, as well as a member of the editorial board of the Hungarian Protestant Theological History Library series. Since 2016, he has been a member of the editorial board of the “Historia Ecclesiastica” (Presov) journal, and since 2017, he has been a member of the Theological Committee of the Reformed Church Synod in Romania. In recognition of his work, he has received several awards, including the Szacsvay Prize from the Notary Chamber of the Hungarian Parliament (2009), the Széchenyi Prize from the Széchenyi Society of Budapest (2013), and the Officer’s Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit (2017).
