Hungarian Diaspora Scholarship
The Hungarian Diaspora Scholarship was established by the Hungarian Government for those who live in a Hungarian diaspora outside of Europe and wish to study at a Hungarian higher education institution to develop their personal, professional and cultural relations to Hungary.
Please note that the Hungarian Diaspora Scholarship Programme is ONLY for applicants who have Hungarian roots, ancestors in their family. Each year, Tempus Public Foundation receives a high number of applications from those who have no connection to Hungary at all. Please note that all of these applications are rejected right away at the first selection point because having a Hungarian background is the cornerstone of the Scholarship Programme. If you do not have a connection to Hungary, please check other scholarship programmes managed by Tempus Public Foundation that
might be suitable for you.Scholarship benefits:

When and how to Apply for the Hungarian Diaspora Scholarship?
- Before submitting your application, please read the Call for Application carefully
- In case you are interested, contact the sending partner in your country
- With the help of the application guide, submit all the necessary application documents to the online application system of Tempus Public Foundation (TPF).
- Select Obuda University as your chosen university
