One of the most important bases for the internationalization of Obuda University is the Stipendium Hungaricum program
Today we discussed the Stipendium Hungaricum (SH) program with Miklós Lengyel, the Deputy State Secretary responsible for training, scholarship programs and science diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade a. During the meeting, Rector Prof. Dr. Levente Kovács said that the Stipendium Hungaricum program has a sincerely important role in the internationalization of Obuda University.
He also called the promotion of the program a priority task, the best example of which is the knowledge and technology center handed over in Nairobi on March 7 in the presence of Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament László Kövér.
The program provides an opportunity for the university to realize the internationalization goals and professional developments set out in its Institutional Development Plan. This includes the resources provided by the government, as well as the professional help and coordination of the Tempus Public Foundation - added the rector, who said that the SH program will continue to occupy a prominent place in the future in strengthening the international relations of Obuda University.
According to Rector Kovács the presence of foreign students enriches the life of Obuda University. An international community was created, which provides an intercultural environment for both foreign and Hungarian students. Educating students from different cultures is a challenge and a development opportunity for instructors, the rector said.
